Robert Donnestad

December 28, 1939 — June 8, 2015

On June 8, 2015, Robert (Bob) Donnestad, of Lancaster, VA, passed away peacefully, joining the Lord in Heaven. He was 75. Originally from New Jersey, Bob was a 1962 graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois. He worked in the Information Services division of General Electric until his retirement. During his career with GE, he and his family had the opportunity to live in Tokyo, Japan and travel the world. Throughout his retirement, Bob enjoyed volunteering at Rappahannock General Hospital, reading, and spending time with his family and dogs. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis (Knol) Donnestad, daughters Lorel Scott (Joe) and Cindy Roberts (Mike), grandchildren Kevin and Krysten, and several nieces and nephews.
