Fannie Jane Wright died Monday, July 6th at her daughter's home in Smithsburg. Born November 5, 1932 in Buckeystown, the daughter of James Arthur Jr. and Ruth Estelle (Kolb) Cutsail, Jane was a lifelong resident of Frederick County. Jane served as cafeteria manager at the Parkway Elementary School, and later worked at Watson's Family Restaurant until her retirement. She enjoyed being with family, music (especially the country group Alabama), watching sports, and the outdoors. An early friend to the late Patsy Cline and an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles, her passion for music and sports was exceeded only by her love for her family, which included her "best buddy" Foxy, a miniature Pomeranian. She is survived by her son James Wright and his wife Anne of North Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter Linda K. "Wright" Staley and husband Bob with whom she made her home in Smithsburg, MD; grandchildren William P. "Billy" Staley, Robert James "Bobby" Staley, and Stacie M. "Staley" Foltz and her husband Danny.
