Nathaniel Reid Clanton, 37 of Frederick, died suddenly on August 9, 2015. He was the son of David and Shelley Clanton, currently of Huntsville, AL. Born January 13, 1978, in Knoxville, TN, Nathaniel was diagnosed with autism at age 3. In the 1980's he participated in a ground-breaking drug study at NIH. Although autistic, Nathaniel was very long, without judgment or prejudice of any kind. His favorite thing to do was to go to McDonalds every day for a large diet coke. He is survived by his parents, cousins, Michael and Stephen, and housemates Charlie Wisner and Kevin Wachter. Also surviving is his most beloved companion of 17 years, Delores "Lossie" Carroll. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 12th at 11 am at Frederick Alliance Church, 1631 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MedSource Community Services Inc., Frederick, the residential program in which he was so fortunate to live. He is loved and cherished by all who knew him.
