Marianne Turney Sevy, age 48, entered her heavenly home on Friday, August 21, 2015. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and daughter. She is survived by her husband, Greg Sevy and daughter Laurel Sevy of Frederick, MD, her parents, Ed and Jeanene Turney of Ocean City, MD, her sister Connie Murphy and niece Ashley Murphy of Frederick, MD and her sister, Vickie Radford and her husband, Greg Radford of Whaleyville, MD. Marianne has bravely fought breast cancer and primary peritoneal cancer for 11 years and has been in inspiration to many with her great outlook on life. She leaves behind many friends who loved her for her wit, her advice, her friendship and her love of adventure. She was an avid reader, loved going to yard sales and was an active "soccer mom" during the years her daughter played soccer. She enjoyed fishing and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay and boating and fishing off the shores of Ocean City. Marianne graduated from Northwood High School in Silver Spring, and University of Maryland Baltimore County with a degree in Economics The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Calvary Assembly, 8234 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD 21793 where services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11 AM. Pastor Pete Gallott and pastor Joel Hawthorne of Silver Spring, MD will officiate. The interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
