Edna Josephine (Shipe) Willis, 89 of Frederick, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly, on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, after a fall. Born on August 6, 1926, in Long Beach, California she was the daughter of the late John Robert and Margaret Estella (Harwood) Shipe. She was one of seven children to John and Margaret and is survived by her brothers, Charles Shipe and wife Josephine, William Shipe and wife Christine; her sisters, Marylee Kneisley, Janet Titus and Virginia Cohagan; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Shipe and her beloved cat Timber. The family will receive friends from 11-noon on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.keeneybasford.com
