Larry Thomas Steele

Mr. Larry Thomas Steele, 76 of Dickerson, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the College View Center. He was the loving husband of 47 years of Patricia June Trittipoe Steele. Born in Corinne, West Virginia on September 27, 1938, he was a son of the late Luther Leo and Dallas Cook Steele. Mr. Steele was retired as a district manager for Pepsi Cola Company. He had also owned and operated Larry's Restaurant in Poolesville. Together he and his wife owned P.J.'s Florist in Poolesville and Patricia's Florist in Brunswick. Larry was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and the West Virginia University Mountaineers football teams. He had a great love of raising and caring for poodles and Siberian husky dogs. He also enjoyed antiquing throughout the east coast. Through the years, Larry found joy in helping those in need. Surviving in addition to his wife is one brother, Luther Gary Steele and wife Marie, of FL, nephews, Gregory Luther Steele, Jason Steele and David "Bubby" Steele, nieces, Connie Duke, Bonnie Lamson, Robin McCue, Holley Trittipoe and Tiffney Brienza, and many great nieces and nephews, many cousins including Betty Shumate and Sue Poe of West Virginia. He will be remembered by lifelong classmates and friends from Corinne, as well as friends, Wendy, Terry, Gabrielle, Lydia, Ashleigh and Sabrina Smallwood, Anna Haier and Morgan Cato. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Lee Steele. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
