Mr. Robert Harrison Young, Jr., 55, of Frederick, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 20 He was the fiancé of Vicki Lynn Cook. Born on October 23, 1959, he was the son of Robert Harrison Young, Sr. And Barbara Phoebus Young Mr. Young was a mechanic for the Maryland State Highway Administration, and he was looking forward to his retirement in December. In his free time, Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing with his friend Rich and being with friends. He enjoyed his time spent at River Bend with his cousin Cynthia &Kevinandloved sitting around the campfire for relaxation. He was also a member of the Buck and Bass Inc. of Frederick and the Moose Lodge #371, Frederick. He wasan exceptionalmechanic, talented in so many other fields, and enjoyed repairing things for friends and family, and he took much pride in everything he did. In addition to his fiancé, Mr. Young is survived by his Aunt, Kathleen Crouse, Uncle, Mac Phoebus wife Dottie, Cousins Gary Crouse wife Debbie;Cynthia Wyant and friend Kevin Riffle and other cousins and extended family members. He will be deeply missed by many close friends, family and co-workers, especiallyLaurie & RichWolfe and his fiancés brother Calvin Cook. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, (Dress is casual) September 25 at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, (Dress is casual) September 26 in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Clustered Spires Cemetery. To help defray final expenses, donations will be accepted in lieu of flowers.
