John Robert Hawkins

Mr. John Robert Hawkins, age 58 of Frederick, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Donna L. Hawkins of Frederick. Born on October 28, 1956 he was the son of the late Edwin and Ruth (Main) Hawkins. Mr. Hawkins worked for the City of Frederick in the waste water division for 30 years and at the water plant for three years. He was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, the Frederick Eagles lodge 1067, the Frederick Moose lodge 371, the Frederick Redmen Chippewa Tribe 19, and the Nation Rifle Association. In addition to his wife Donna, Mr. Hawkins is also survived by his sons Christopher L. Pasco and Mathew L. Pasco, his siblings Nancy Moxley-Bittle of Frederick, David Hawkins of Knoxville, Harold Hawkins of Knoxville, Bettyjane Burgess and husband Charles of Frederick, Betyjean Zigler-Hunter and husband Carl of Charles Town, WV, and James Hawkins and wife Vera of Frederick. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 12 Noon until 2 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick were services will begin at 2 PM. Pastor Sandi Phillips of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church will officiate. The burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
