Gerald Sliter

Mr. Gerald Anthony "Jerry" Sliter of Frederick, died Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was 81. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Jane E. (Whitlatch) Sliter. Born August 10, 1934, in Washington D.C., Jerry was the son of the late Lester A. and Walburga (Kremsreiter) Sliter. He was the oldest of eight children. In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his children, Hans Sliter and wife Cheryl, Grete Yanke and husband Patrick, Kurt Sliter, and Stefan Sliter and wife Caitlyn, as well as seven grandchildren. In addition to his parents, brother William (Billy) and sister Rosemary, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Karla Sliter. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, October 9, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118, E. 2nd Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Father Kevin Farmer will officiate. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
