Dr. Albert Michael Zelna

December 18, 1932 — October 5, 2015

Dr. Albert Michael Zelna, 82, of Frederick, Maryland and formerly Potomac, passed away on October 5, 2015 at Kline Hospice House. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Yazinski) Zelna. Dr. Zelna was born on December 18, 1932 to the late Michael and Julia Narvid Zelna. He was one of the first Radiology Physicians at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five children and eleven grandchildren. A Mass of Celebration will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 9, at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 9200 Kentsdale Drive, Potomac, MD 20854. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Cross Health Foundation, 11801 Tech Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904 or to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 50 year medulist study, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
