Mr. Irving Wilson "Willie" Rice, 74, of Bowie, died on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at his home. He was the husband of Sandra Kern Rice. Born in Frederick, on April 30, 1941, he was a son of Hilda Naomi Beard Rice, of Frederick and the late Herman Wilson Rice. He was retired from the Embassy Dairy where for may years he worked as a delivery man. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is one daughter, Dawn R. Delahanty and husband Michael, of Chesapeake Beach, one brother, Gary C. Rice and wife Jeannie, of Ijamsville and one sister, Sharon L. Rice, of Frederick, niece, Veronica Poole and husband John, of Frederick and nephew, Gary C. Rice, Jr., of Ijamsville, great niece, Kyla Poole and great nephew, Mason Day. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, October 15, 2015, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. John A. Harpold, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
