Mrs. Mary Katharine Rea, 87, of Frederick, died on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Orlando Rea, Sr. Born in Frederick on August 29, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Frances Elsrode. She was a homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed Shopping, dancing and spending time with her entire family. Surviving are her children, Ronald L. Rea and Linda, of Myersville, Orlando Rea, Jr., and Sharon, of Libertytown and Tina M. Noell, of Hagerstown, brother, Harry "Boy" Elsrode and Irene, of NV, sister, Annie Kolb, of NC, grandchildren, Tammy A. Fike and Todd, Annette R. Gray and Don, Orlando Rea III and Jamie, Angela B. Rea, Chris L. Noell and Nina M. Hoffman and Matthew, great grandchildren, Cameron,Devin, Nathaniel, Madilyn, Kaitlyn, Braiden, Mason, Tiana and Jeffrey, several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert R. Noell, brothers, Raymond and Ernie, sisters, Mabel Smith, Evelyn Baker and Helen Heffner. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, October 23, 2015, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m., on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Rutherford, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
