Mrs. Beulah Madeline Hargett, 88, of Ijamsville, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Northampton Manor. She was the wife of the late Bernard Maurice Hargett Sr., who preceded her in death in 1989. Born June 28, 1927, in Ijamsville, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Nettie (Perkins) Sier. Beulah is survived by her son, Stephen Hargett and wife Mary Ann, grandchildren, Kim Scott and husband Peter, great-grandchildren, Rebekah Scott, Rachel Scott, Elizabeth Scott and Sarah Scott, step-grandchildren, Michael Grant and wife Kimberly and Jacqueline Gordon and husband Kendall. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bernard "Peepie" Hargett, Jr. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8pm, Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral will be held at 2:00PM, on Thursday, November 12, 2015, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Rev. Franklin Bishop will officiate.
