Mr. William C. "Claudie" Cregger, Jr. age 63 of Frederick passed away of natural causes on Friday, November 13, 2015. Born on January 21, 1952 in Frederick, he was the son of Patricia A. Cregger and the late William C. Cregger, Sr. Mr. Cregger was a 1970 graduate of Frederick High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving 8 years to include two deployments to Viet Nam. Following his military service, he devoted his life to the art of Masonry. He worked for Harold Brown Masonry, working his way up to Foreman. In addition, he loved his job as equipment operator at Lowe's in Frederick. In his free time he was an avid hunter, enjoyed boating, and most of all loved his family, particularly his grandchildren. Mr. Cregger is survived by his former wife and life long friend Sherry L. Belicza, his children Josh Cregger, Sr. and wife Angel and Trish Stewart and husband Michael. He was the grandfather of Josh Cregger, Jr., Aiden Rice, and Taylor, Callie and Bo Stewart. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings Cheri Rhoderick and husband Ike and Larry Cregger and wife Bonnie, his many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received onTuesday, November 17, 2015from 2-4 and6-8 p.m.at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services are planned forWednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. with time of gathering to followat the Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Ave., Frederick, MD 21701. Rev. Sandi Evans-Rogers will officiate. The interment will be arranged at a date to be determined.
