Kristopher Fielding Lewis
March 22, 1994 — November 25, 2015
Mr. Kristopher Fielding Lewis, age 21, who grew up as part of a military family and called both Frederick, MD and Corolla, NC home, joined his Heavenly Father early in the morning on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Born on March 22, 1994, he is the son of COL George E. III and Michele D. Lewis of Fort Belvoir, VA.
Kristopher is, and will always be, his father’s best buddy and hunting partner, his sister’s loyal protector and partner, a traditional, respectful gentleman, who loves his momma deeply; Loyal and loving brother-n-law, grandson, cousin, “Uncle Kritter” and dearest friend. Professionally, Kris chose to be an Ocean Rescue Specialist, Volunteer Firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder in Corolla, North Carolina. During the last couple of years there, Kris was credited for overseeing and saving many lives. He remains a selfless servant of his community, and takes great pride in protecting others from danger, defending those who are not as strong and helping those in need. Kris was and will always be a vigilant sheepdog.
In addition to his parents, Kristopher is also survived by his sister, Alexandria (Lexie) Coppinger and husband Anthony of Fort Carson, CO, two nieces; Savannah and Natalie Coppinger, maternal grandmother; Dorothy Daniel, of Fayetteville, NC, paternal grandparents; Dr. George E. Jr. and wife Pamela H. Lewis of Lander, MD and many other loving family members.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2015, at 10:00 AM at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Francis Scott Key Chapel, 515 S. Market St., Frederick followed by a graveside dedication. Please come prepared for outdoor inclement weather conditions and a walk from the chapel to the graveside if you choose to participate. A Kris Lewis Memorial “PaddleOut” will also be held on Saturday, December 5th, 2015, at 10:00 AM in Corolla, NC at the Southern Bathhouse – Beach Access Ramp. Please dress comfortably. Seasonal beach attire is appropriate.
