Robert William Beachley

Robert William "Jim" Beachley, 78, of W. Boss Arnold Road, Knoxville, MD, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at GenesisHealth Care, Frederick, MD. He was born on July 15, 1937 to Raymond Oliver and PearlVirginia (Blank) Beachley. He was the husband of Shirley Ann (Smith) Beachley of Millsboro, DE. Jim spent many years as a painter with NorthAmerican Housing and loved gardening and growing vegetables for his family and friends.
He is survived by sons Jeffrey Lee "Jeff", Timothy Allen "Timmy" and daughter Donna Jean. He is also survived by a step-daughter Melanie Reeder-Pearcey and husband, Ron and grandsons Rick and Rob Reeder. Also surviving is his granddaughter Julia Marie "Julie" who he raised along with her daughter Haylie, who was the light of his life. Other surviving grandchildren are Rebecca, Vicky, Bubby, Angie, Josie and Mikayla. Surviving Great grand-children are Jesse, Georgia, Carter and Carolina. Also surviving are brothers, Gene Elwood "Gene" Beachley and wife Tina, Meredith Raymond "Buzz" Beachley and Melvin Edward "Dump" Beachley and wife Nancy, a sister, May Virginia Bell.. A sister-in-law, Loretta Beachley also survives as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a special friends, Henry Stone and Idriess Dorsey.
A funeral service will be held at the Key Memorial Chapel, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at 3 p.m., with viewing one hour before services. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery to follow.
