A. Roland Kolb

Mr. A. Roland Kolb, 85, of Frederick, died Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Doris E. Kolb.

Born June 13, 1930, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Arthur H. and Gertrude E. (Edwards) Kolb.

Roland was a Parts Manager for Webber White Trucking in Washington D.C. He was a fan of the Frederick Keys, Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon Pyle and husband Edward, son, Darrell Kolb, grandsons, Edward Pyle and Steven Pyle, sister, Elizabeth "Libby" Hildebrand, and his close friends from the Charles Town Bunch.

Roland was predeceased by his sister, Peggy Wagner.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:15 pm, on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:15PM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private.
