Mr. Michael W. Ernst, age 49 of Clear Spring, MD passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. He was the devoted husband of Julie Ernst who he was married to for over 23 years. Born on February 28, 1966 he was the son of George "Butch" Ernst and Virginia "Ginny" Smith.

Michael's life passion was working on cars, trucks and motorcycles. There was never a problem he was not able to solve. He was a free spirit who loved to ride his Harley.

In addition to his wife and parents, Michael is survived by his sisters, Alexandra Windsong and husband Brandon Barnard of Keedysville and Donna Smith-Chapman and husband Brian of Winter Haven, FL, his mother-in-law Sandy Simpson of Hagerstown, his brother-in-law Jimmy Wenner of Hagerstown and several nieces and nephews.
