Carol Jacqueline Hildebrand

Mrs. Carol Jacqueline Hildebrand, 74, of Frederick, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Ballenger Creek Center.  She was the wife of the late Elmer L. Hildebrand, who preceded her in death in 2003.

Born August 24, 1941, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Kimmel) Crum.

Carol was a stay at home Mom until her oldest daughter graduated from high school.  She worked for the Frederick News Post from early 1978 until Oct. 2015 in the Distribution Department.  Carol was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and Dale Jarrett nascar racing.  In her spare time, she enjoyed Charles Town Races and Slots.  Most of all, Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her children, Teresa Wastler and husband Carroll, Susan Hildebrand, Lisa Landis and husband Lynn, David Hildebrand and Daniel Hildebrand and companion Beth, grandchildren, Carrie Wastler, Matthew Wastler and wife Jennifer, Ashley Wastler, Jonathan Hildebrand, Adam Landis, Brittany Landis, Dezirae Ferrall, Jarrett Hildebrand and Shelby May, great-grandson, Norris Hopkins Jr., also survived by her sisters, Shirley Day and husband Mac and Bonnie Eshbaugh and husband Jerry, devoted best friend, Mary Morris, whom she loved as a sister who spent countless hours with her during her illness, also surviving by numerous nieces and nephews.

Those wishing to attend family and friends will meet at the FSK Chapel at the front .A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
