Bernard W. Mcclain

Mr. Bernard McClain, of New Market, passed away at home on the morning of Thursday, March 10, 2016.

He was born on September 15, 1928, to Edward Morgan McClain and Agnes Victoria Fink. He was married to E. Virginia "Tottles" Stup for nearly 68 years. He was the last of his immediate family, and he was preceded in death by his daughter Sally Ruth in 2014.

Bernard leaves a son, Ronnie McClain, daughter, Nancy Thompson Imirie and husband Allan, grandsons, Russ Thompson and his son, Tristan and Travis Thompson and wife Melissa and their daughter, Hailey. As well as his dear devoted friends Tommy and Tony Hoy.

He was a dairy farmer and later in life a cattle dealer with his good friend the late Franklin Smith.

His family wishes to thank his caregivers, FMH Cancer Center, Hospice, and his doctors.

The family will receive friends from 12 PM to 1 PM, on Monday, March 14, 2016, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00PM, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel, at the funeral home. Chaplain Gary White from New Market will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
