Sandra Lee (Miss) Allison joined her savior on Saturday, April 16 2016, following a courageous battle with ALS. She was born on September 7, 1944 in Frederick, MD and was the daughter of the late Mary Nikirk Miss and Aaron “Bennie” Miss. Sandy was the loving wife of the late Lawrence “Larry” Allison who passed away in January 2016.
Sandy graduated from Frederick High School in 1962 and enjoyed regular get-togethers with her classmates. Mrs. Allison worked for many years as a bartender at the Middletown Amvets and the American Legion Post 11. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she formerly served as president. Sandy was also an avid cat-lover and leaves behind her cherished cats, Bonnie and Clyde.
Sandy is survived by her sisters-in law, Cheryl “Lynne” Sells of Florida and Victoria “Vicki” McMillan of Baltimore; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. The Rev. Ronald E. Reaves, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
