Betty Whited Bumgarner

Mrs. Betty Whited Bumgarner, age 79 of Frederick, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Homewood at Crumland Farms, Frederick.  She was the wife of the late Jack Bumgarner who passed away on December 19, 2002.  Born on July 9, 1936 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John and Sally Whited.

Mrs. Bumgarner was an active member at the Culpeper Baptist Church in Culpeper, VA and the First Baptist Church in Woodbridge VA.  She had a career where she worked at the Pentagon and Fort Belvoir Army Air Base.  In her free time she was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, quilting and gardening.

Mrs. Bumgarner is survived by her son, Mark Bumgarner and wife Denise, her daughter Ann Hearn and husband Mark, her grandchildren Jack Hearn, Alexander Hearn, Kyle Bumgarner and Keri Bumgarner and her sister Margaret Zills.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Fred Whited, Buddy Whited and her sisters Norma McAchren and Bonnie Whited.

Friends will be received on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 from 1 to 2 PM at the New Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 5305-A Jefferson Pike, Frederick, MD 21703 with a funeral services scheduled to begin at 2 PM.  Rev.
