Jerome Midula

Jerome (Jerry) John Midula, 73, of Jefferson, MD, passed away on June 15, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Roslyn Gross Midula, who passed away in 2008.

Born on June 4, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Joseph Alex and Katherine (Dabulsky) Midula. Jerome served in the United States Navy for 4 years during Vietnam, he worked for 32 years at Eastalco Alumina Company in Quality Control. He was a member of the American Legion Francis Scott Key Post 11, the Jefferson Ruritan, and a longtime member of the Jefferson United Church of Christ where he enjoyed sending cards on behalf of the church for various occasions to members of the church and friends of the church community. He loved to fish, golf, and read. He also loved telling jokes and stories.

Jerome is survived by his son, Kenneth Scott Midula and wife Ann Marie; daughter, Beth Doreen Midula; sister, Karen Aldonna Midula; and granddaughter, Bridget Summer Midula. Also brother and sister n law, niece and nephew, and cousins. His granddaughter brought him great joy and happiness.

The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The funeral service will be at 11am on Thursday, June 23rd at the funeral home. Reverend John and Reverend Rebecca Shillingberg will officiate. Interment will follow in Rocky Springs Cemetery.
