Margie Leona Warner

Mrs. Margie Leona Warner, 88, of Frederick, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016, at her home. She was the wife of the late Charles Levi Warner, who died on August 6, 2010. Born in Adamstown on March 9, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Lee Theodore and Ellen Leona Stocks Frye.

Margie attended Adamstown Elementary School, Miss Willard's School for Secretaries and took courses in banking at Frederick Community College.

Margie at one time was employed by L W. Woolworth and Lincoln Loan Service. After taking time off to start a family. She then went back to work and was retired after 20 years as a branch manager at the Prospect Branch of Fredericktowne Bank & Trust. She was a member of the Emmanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, Ballenger Creek.  She was also a long time member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Feagaville, Maryland, and of St. Matthias United Methodist Church, Fredericksburg, VA.

She enjoyed doing needle work, crossword puzzles and walking for excerise. She also liked to prepare family dinners and keeping in touch with her many friends throughout the years.

Surviving are her two daughters, Cynthia Ann Wilder, of Ocean Pines, MD and Cathy Lynne French and husband Stratton, of Point of Rocks, MD; one sister, Mary Frye Morningstar, of Frederick, three grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn French, Joshua Philip Wilder and Stephen Lee French, and many nieces and nephews, as well as close friends and co-workers. She will be remembered by her son-in-law, Thomas Wilder. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert C. Frye, Harry B. Frye and William L. Frye, one sister, Maggie V. Renn.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., on Friday, August 5, 2016, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, August 6, 2016, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
