Mary Helen Cliser

Mrs. Mary Helen Cliser, 71, of Frederick, died on Thursday, September 8, 2016 of cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Lee Cliser, who preceded her in death in 1998.

She was born on September 18, 1944, in Wheeling, WV. She was the daughter of the late Herman J. and Mary Marie (Clark) Storch.

She was educated at Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy, West Liberty University, Hood College and West Virginia University.

Mary Helen served with Frederick County Public Schools for 28 years in special education and as a school psychologist. She also worked for the Frederick County Department of Social Services and Catholic Charities of West Virginia, as well as being self-employed.

She is survived by her beloved son, Keith Lee Cliser, beloved daughter, Courtney Elizabeth Blizzard and husband Wade, grandchildren, Austin, Evan and Natalie Blizzard.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11AM, on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. A memorial service will immediately follow in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at 11:00AM. Rev. Dave Meador will officiate. Inurnment will be private at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
