Patricia L. Vandergrift

Mrs. Patricia L. Vandergrift, 75, of Frederick, died Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late William C. Vandergrift, who preceded her in death in 2015.

Born July 14, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Emma Patterson.

Patricia was survived by her children, Linda Miller (Mike), Laura Sugrue (Michael Godwin), Michael Vandergrift (Lesley) and Leigh Ann Rawlins (Alan "Jr"), grandchildren, Samantha Bikle (Dean), Jonathan Miller, Nicholas Miller, Andrew Sugrue (Susan Purcell), Anne Sugrue, Maggie Sugrue, Ashley Vandergrift, Brooke Vandergrift, Braeden Rawlins and Parker Rawlins, great-grandchild, Jack Bikle, two sisters, one brother and other beloved family members. Mrs. Vangergrift was most proud of her 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3pm, on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00PM, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Father Michael Jendrek will officiate. Inurnment will be private.
