Roger William Remsburg, Jr.

November 13, 1969 — September 24, 2016

Mr. Roger William Remsburg, Jr., 46, of Thurmont, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore. Born in Bethesda on November 13, 1969, he was the son of Linda May Stream Remsburg Philpott and the late Roger W. Remsburg, Sr. He was the step son and best freind of William M. Philpott.
Roger had worked as a purchasing agent for N I H in Bethesda. He was a founding member of Positive Influence. He was a member of the JR Amvets Post # 2, Frederick.
Surviving in addition to his mother and step father are several aunts, uncles and cousins, including his aunts, Shirley Ball Shank and Earl and Margaret Jane Hamburg. He will also be remembered by special friends, Jennifer Miller, Jimmy Tyner, Annette Cooney and Nic Makuch.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Stonebraker, will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick County Humane Society, P. O. Box 3185, Frederick, MD 21705.
