Alberta Viola Klipp

March 30, 1933 — September 24, 2016

Mrs. Alberta Viola Stimmel Klipp went to be with God and her beloved husband on September 24, 2016. Born on March 30, 1933 to Mami Viola Lowary Stimmel and Clarence Edward Stimmel. She is proceeded in death by her husband Grayson Eugene Klipp of Frederick. They were married for 56 years at the time of his death. She is also proceeded in death by her sister Laura Eaves, and brothers Charles, George and Harry Stimmel all of Frederick.

After marrying Grayson they had seven children. They spent many years farming in the Middletown area where she taught her children the value of hard work and the value of the family. After leaving the farm they moved to Hagerstown where she started her career as a nursing assistant at the Mederian Nursing Home. She worked there until she retired after 25 years. Alberta looked forward to her yearly trip to Florida with Grayson and traveling to see her children. She is the most proud of how all her children have grown up. She takes great delight in seeing and hearing from her nieces, nephews and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed keeping up with everyone on Facebook and playing those silly games. She enjoyed playing bingo with Arcia, Bill, Vickie and Lester.

Leaving to treasure her memories are her children: David Klipp and wife Diana of Maryland, Arcia and husband William "Bill" Snook of Maryland, Dollie and her husband Robert Davis of Louisiana, Ronnie Klipp and wife Cathy of Mississippi, Evelyn Yeager of Maryland, Jay Klipp and wife Lori of Floridia and Vickie and husband Lester Taylor of Maryland. Special thanks to Vickie and Lester for opening their home to her and her faithful furry companion Jasper the cat. Also to Arcia for always being there to help whenever needed and the many hours by her side.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 11 am at the Clustered Spires Cemetery, Frederick.
