Robert Andrews

May 11, 1933 — September 27, 2016

Mr. Robert Lee "Bob" Andrews, age 83 of Hagerstown, formerly of Rockville, passed peacefully away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Charlotte Mae Andrews. Born in Frederick, MD on May 11, 1933, he was the son of the late Walter L. and Loretta V. Andrews.

Mr. Andrews served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne division. He was a master plumber belonging to the Local 5 Union where he was known as Bruiser.

Mr. Andrews is also survived by his sons Ed, Bobby and wife Vicky, David and companion Janet, daughter Sharon and her husband Victor. He was blessed with five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Tom and wife Peggy and Charles and sister Betty along with numerous nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Frank, infant Tom, Walter and sisters Mary and Kathleen.

Friends will be received on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick and on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 11 am until service time at 12 noon. The interment will follow at Manor Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Andrews' name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
