Mr. William Granville White, age 70 of Monrovia passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Betty J. White who passed away on January 24, 2000. Born on February 20, 1946 he was the son of the late William L. and Margaret White.
Mr. White most recently worked as a truck driver for Walter King in Jefferson. He was a member at the Redmen Chippewa Tribe 19 and Jeffersonian Patriotic Club, both in Frederick. He enjoyed fishing and was very happy sitting around a camp fire with his family at home.
Mr. White is survived by his daughter Shelley Stine and husband Randy of Monrovia, his grandchildren Brian Stine of Thurmont, Brandon and Jessica Stine of Myersville and Brooke and Brandi Stine of Monrovia and his great-granddaughter Rebecca Stine. He is additionally survived by his sisters Gina, Jenette and Marie and his brothers Richard, Jerry and Bobby. In addition to his parents and wife, his is preceded in death by a son, Steven Sweep, a brother Donald White and a sister Sue Hillery.
Friends will be received on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11 AM. The interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. Contributions may be made in Mr. White's name directly to the family.
