Julia "Julie" Ann May

May 17, 1963 — September 29, 2016

Mrs. Julie S. May, age 53 of Buckeystown, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016. She was the loving wife for 32 years of Mr. Bob May. Born on May 17, 1963 she was the daughter of Doris (Turner) Sabine and the late Henry Hill Sabine.

Mrs. May was a graduate of Walkersville High School in the class of 1981. Later in life she continued her education at University of Maryland University College earning a Bachelors of Science. She most recently worked for Aetna as Vice President of Medicare. In her free time she loved family vacations and most of all her new granddaughter. Julie was a very caring soul and had a way of bringing people together she touched a lot of lives and anyone who met Julie knew they had made a friend for life

Mrs. May was the loving mother of Katherine May Blount and husband Marcus of Frederick and Jacob Birch May of Buckeystown and the grandmother of Charlie Ann Blount. She is also survived by her siblings Jane Mangum and husband Bruce, Hank Sabine and wife Stephanie and Paul Sabine and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 5, from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, at 2 PM. The interment will be private.
