Randy Lee Shafer

Mr. Randy Lee Shafer, 57, of Frederick,  passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at his home. He was born in Frederick, on October 1, 1959, and was the son of Julian A. "Skip " and Barbara Hillery Shafer, of Walkersville. Randy had worked for several years as a brick mason in the area. He loved pitching horseshoes and watching sports on television.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother, Scott M. Shafer and wife Kim of Frederick, his nieces and nephews, Sierra Nicole, Zachery Tyler and Michael Scott, aunt and uncle, Virginia Hillery and Kenneth Hillery, great aunt, Janice Hahn and Dick and several cousins and many friends He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark G. Shafer.
The family would like to thank, Dr. Menocal, Dr., Hegazi and Hospice for all there kindness and help during this sad time.
A celebration of his life will be at a later date and time. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
