George W. Ruthvin

Mr. George William Ruthvin, 87, of Frederick, died Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Hallie Irene (Eyler) Ruthvin, who preceded him in death in 1998.

Born December 1, 1928 in Jefferson, he was the son of the late George M. and Hazel M. (Hawker) Ruthvin.

George graduated from Frederick High School Class of 1946. He served in the US AirForce from 1950 to 1954 during the Korean War. He was employed at RayCal Communications in Rockville as a Component Engineer.

George is survived by his daughter, Nancy Bradley and husband Paul, granddaughter, Laura Wright, 2 great-grandchildren and nephew, Hayes Ruthvin Jr.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11am, on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Deacon Kim Hintzman will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery, Point of Rocks.
