Ronald Lee Watkins

Ronald Lee Watkins, 72, of Martinsburg, WV, formerly of Frederick, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville, WV. He was the husband of Brenda L. Baker Watkins, his wife of 30 years.

Born November 28, 1943, in Frederick, he was a son of the late Earl Lee and Minnie Lorraine Brandenburg Watkins. Ronnie was a graduate of Damascus High School and worked in carpentry and cabinet making for many years. Prior to his retirement he worked with Dennis Kitchen & Bath. He was a member of Redman’s Club, of Williamsport; the American Legion, Williamsport; AMVETS Post 2,  Frederick ; and was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Gary Watkins and wife Crystal, of Woodbine, Cathy Thomson and husband Ryan, of Sykesville, Kimberly Watkins, of Frederick, and Lori Seymore, of TN; nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Terry Watkins and wife Sue, of Gainesville, VA; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

He will especially be missed by his hundreds of furry, feline friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, October 14 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Services and interment will be private.
