Pauline "Polly" Weddle of St. Cloud, Florida, and formerly of Frederick, Maryland, died peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Born May 24, 1921, in Brunswick, Maryland, to the late Pearl and Otis White, she was predeceased by both husbands, Lawrence Clagett and John Weddle. After growing up in Frederick, Polly worked as a federal employee at Fort Detrick for thirty-five years. Polly was a volunteer in both Frederick and in Florida for organizations as varied as the VFW, American Legion, Elks, Redmans, the St. Cloud Hospital, and the St. Cloud Garden Club. She was an organizer of the St. Clouds Golden Girls Club as well.
She is survived by two sons, Galen Clagett of Frederick, Maryland, and Randy Weddle of Hanover, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: Marcie Clagett, Thomas Clagett, Amy Willett, and Amanda Hill all of Maryland; great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and dear friends in Maryland and in Florida.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your own choosing. No visitation will be held and a private graveside service has been planned for later.
