Ruby Mills

Ruby Nadene (Grove) Mills, 87, of Myersville, passed away on October 17, 2016 at her home. Born on May 3, 1929, in Park Mills, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Morningstar) Grove. Ruby retired from Airpaxs. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, loved to dance and enjoyed sitting outdoors spending time with her family.

Ruby is survived by her six children, Kitty McKenzie and husband Bo, Marlene Wiles and husband Charles, Dawn Lucas and husband Whitey, Patty Simmons, Eddie Mills and wife Darlene and Michael Mills and wife Connie; 27 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and one on the way, as well as, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and longtime companion, Howard “Pete” Mills; her sisters, Patsy Bowers, Betty Hoffman, Annie Hoffman, Shirley Anders and Mary Louise and her great grandson Terry Dean Wolfe III.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8pm on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, October 22th at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
