Katharine Seymour

Katharine Elizabeth Seymour, 55, of New Market, MD passed away suddenly on Wednesday October 5, 2016.  She was born on August 31, 1961 in Atlanta, GA.

She was the devoted wife of Mark Seymour of New Market, MD and loving mother to her daughter and son, Melissa and Sean Seymour.

Kathy was a homemaker and a truly gifted quilter and crafter to which anyone who has been blessed with one of her designs can attest. She loved gardening and watching the many birds that were attracted to her yard. She will be remembered by her loved ones for her creative and nurturing spirit and her strength.

Kathy was a former member of the United States Army and served 2 years at Fort Bragg, NC where she and her husband Mark met.

She is survived by her husband Mark and her daughter Melissa of New Market, MD; her son Sean and his wife Kirsten, of Maynard, MA; sisters Jenniffer White and husband Chad of Tunnel Hill, GA and Donna Olds of Chattanooga, TN; brother Michael Sills and his wife Cheri of Rossville, GA; step-mother Mel Sills of Miramar, FL and mother Nancy Ann Webber of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.  She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Ray Sills.

A celebration of Kathy's life will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to Pets-4-Pets Cats Rescue, Inc P.O Box 350 New Market, MD 21774.
