Jack Lewis Taylor, age 77, passed away on Thursday, October 27th, 2016 at his home in Frederick, MD. Jack is survived by his wife, Frances V. Taylor; his children, Jaqueline Taylor Garris and Michael Lewis Taylor; his son-in-law, Bob Garris; his daughter-in-law, Karen Taylor; and his four grandchildren, Chase Winpigler, Shea Winpigler, Victoria Taylor and Zachary Taylor. Jack was born in Johnson City, TN on March 30, 1939 to Ivor and Irene Taylor. Jack married Fran on August 14, 1964 and spent 52 years by her side. He attended Richard Montgomery High School and worked as an electrician for Montgomery County Public Schools for 31 years. He was also a veteran and served his country in the Army from 1960-1963.Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved nature and was an avid golfer. He possesed a vast knowledge of history and the outdoors and would share stories with his grandchildren whom were his pride and joy. Not one to sit still, Jack was a skilled craftsman and was always hard at work on a new project around the house. He believed the best things in life were simple and would do anything to help his loved ones. Those who were fortunate enough to enjoy his company will remember him as a man who possesed a kind soul; he would give you the very shirt off his back. Jack will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick on Tuesday November 1st.
