Karen Kutchak Harris

Mrs. Karen Kutchak Harris, 71, of Frederick, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of 51 years to Stephen R. "Steve" Harris, Sr. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey on February 9, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John and Edyth Pezold Kutchak.
Karen was a homemaker for most of her life and a graduate of Frederick High School Class of 1963. She dearly loved the creatures with whom we shared the earth, she dedicated her resources toward helping many animal welfare causes.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Stephen R. Harris, Jr., and wife Carolyn, of Maple Valley, Washington and Kiera H. Vincent and husband William, of Glen Echo, her brother, John Kutchak and wife Ruanna, of Walkersville, grandchildren, Ember, Zoe, Elsa and Alexander and her niece, Elizabeth.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
