Gail Lee Davis

Ms. Gail Lee Davis, age 72 of Frederick passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born on August 20, 1944 in Louisville, KY she was the daughter of the late Frank & Maryan Cook.Gail graduated from Shawnee High School in Louisville, KY. She served in the United States Air Force for two years, and later continued her education at the University of Maryland in College Park. After leaving the U.S. Air Force, she began to work in real estate. She started as a realtor, then eventually owned and operated her own title company. She ran a positive, fast-paced, and successful office. Gail loved to read, and spend time with her closest friends and family.Gail is the mother of Rob and Julie Abdinoor; mother-in-law of Kim Abdinoor; the grandmother of Jacob Abdinoor, Lindsey Abdinoor and Jenna Abdinoor; the sister of Doris Hornbuckle and her husband Richard, and Frank Cook. She will also be remembered by the father of her children and her friend Robert Abdinoor, Sr.She will be always be remembered for her strong spirit and generosity.Friends will be received on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM and Friday, December 9, 2016 from 10-11 AM at the K eeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. The memorial service will begin at 11 AM. Rev. Dr. Timothy Fisher will officiate. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ms. Davis' name to the The Women's Giving Circle of Frederick County, 312 E Church St., Frederick, MD 21701; or a charity of your choice.
