Dorsey Newman Lawson

Dorsey N. Lawson, 84, of Leesburg, VA, died on Tuesday, December 19, 2016 at the Heritage Hall Healthcare Center in Leesburg. He had been a resident there since April 2013. He was the son of the late E. Dorsey and Nellie Irene Watkins Lawson. He was born November 26, 1932 near Urbana, MD

Dorsey was a member of the class of 1951 of Frederick High School. After graduation he dairy farmed with his parents near Urbana until 1983 when they moved to Frederick.
He then worked on a farm near Urbana until March 2013 when he moved to Leesburg.

He is survived by a brother, Carty Lawson, Leesburg, and the following nieces and nephews: Winnie Droppleman (Bernie), Curtis Day (Laura), Dennis Day (Deb), Kim Foster, Gary Lawson, Andrea Hellier (Scott) and Melanie Baker (Dennis). He was predeceased by a brother, Preston Lawson, two sisters, Fairie Day and Betty Elva Giles and a nephew Francis Giles.
