Joseph Eugene Hawker

Mr. Joseph Eugene Hawker, 80, of Frederick, died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Edith Hawker.

Born May 16, 1936, in Frederick, he was son of the late Richard W. and Pauline (Tribby) Hawker Sr.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Sturtz and husband Stephen, grandchildren, Olivia Sturtz and Riley Sturtz, brothers, Richard Hawker Jr. and wife Peggy and Kenneth Hawker and wife Connie, sister-in-law, Nancy Hawker, brother-in-law, Randy Davis, numerous nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his dogs, Little Bear and Scooter.

Mr. Hawker was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Davis and Teresa Beachley, brother, Wayne Hawker.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:30pm, on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Friday, December 30, 2016, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.  Pastor Duane Musgrove will officiate.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
