Frances S. Burdette

Mrs. Frances Burdette, 95, of Shookstown, died Sunday, January 8, 2017, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Dorsey M. Burdette, who preceded her in death in 1998.Born May 21, 1921, in Shookstown, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Emily (Hildebrand) Schultz. Frances was a school lunch manager with FCPS for many years. She was a life long member of the Edgewood Church of God, a member of the Gambrill State Park Homemaker's Association and the Shookstown/Rocky Springs/Edgewood Civic Center.Mrs. Burdette is survived by her children, Richard Burdette and wife Jeannette Johnson, Sandra Burdette and Pastor Joseph Burdette Sr., grandchildren, Joseph Burdette Jr. and wife Tracey and Emily Griffith and husband Robert Jr., great-grandchildren, Madison Griffith, Mackenzie Griffith, Tara Burdette and Nicholas Burdette, sisters, Margaret Burdette and Connie Shafer and husband James, special great-niece and caregiver, Sarah Mills.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence Schultz, Ralph Schultz, Thomas Schultz, Oscar Schultz Jr. and Robert Schultz, sisters, Pauline Keyser and Violet Boyer, great-grandson, Andrew Burdette.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm, on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, on Friday, January 13, 2016, at the Edgewood Church of God, 8204 Edgewood Church Road, Frederick, MD 21702. Rev. Duane Beck and Rev. John Culberton will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt.
