Betty Lou Duvall Goodsell

February 26, 1944 — January 28, 2017

Mrs. Betty Lou Duvall Goodsell, 72, of Frederick, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at her home. Twice married she was the wife of Gene Arthur Goodsell and the late Donald Eugene Duvall, Sr., who died February 26, 1977.
Born in Virginia on February 26, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Richard Furr and Susie Catherine Edmonds Furr Connelly.
Betty had worked for over 25 years as a cook and waitress for several local Frederick restaurant's. She was a member of the Eagles Club, Amvets Post # 2, Redmen Club and the Patriotic Club. She enjoyed fishing, bowling and was an avid bingo player and had many friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Donald E. Duvall, Jr., and Tracie Lynn Duvall, both of Frederick, daughter-in-law, Marcy Van Meter, of Fairfield, PA, grandchildren, Brandon R. Duvall and Denna and Ashley N. Fisher, great granddaughter, Charlotte Marie Duvall, many nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by many special and close friends, including, Sherry Neal and Cindy Hines Fogle. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Lee Duvall.
The family will receive from 4 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy.
