Linda L. Keefer

Mrs. Linda L. Keefer, 92, of Frederick, died on Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 at the Kline Hospice House, Mount Airy. She was the wife of late Charles Edward Keefer, Jr., who died October 20, 1992.

Born in Middletown, MD on October 9, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Claude Leroy and Dora Crone Crampton. She was a 1941 graduate of Frederick High School and had served as Class Treasurer. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Betty’s Restaurant team at Village Lanes for many years.

Prior to her retirement she worked in local banking for over 50 years. Mrs. Keefer worked for Frederick County National Bank, and later retired as Senior Teller with BB&T.

She is survived by one son, David A. Keefer, of Frederick; one brother, Kenneth T. Crampton, of Frederick and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John C. Crampton, and a sister, Barbara Jean Coyle.

The family would like to thank and remember the staff of Somerford House & Place, as well as those at Kline Hospice House.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm on Monday, February 6 at the Keeney & Basford P.A. Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, where funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, February 7. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery Frederick, MD.
