Doris Lorraine Devilbiss

Mrs. Doris Lorraine (Eaton) Devilbiss, age 84 of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Homewood at Crumland Farms, Frederick after a 20 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was the wife for nearly 69 years of Franklin Leroy Devilbiss. Born on May 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Rice) Eaton. Mrs. Devilbiss was a member of the Lewistown United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker her entire life and enjoyed cooking. Mrs. Devilbiss was the mother of Joseph Franklin Devilbiss and wife Carol of Frederick, the grandmother of 6 and the great-grandmother of 12. She is also survived by her siblings Steve Eaton and wife Roxanne of Thurmont, Barbarateen and husband Carroll Roderick of Thurmont, Sherry Downs of Frederick and Connie Lewis and husband Robert of Thurmont and her daughter in law Shirley Devilbiss of Emmitsburg and son in law Mike Stull of Thurmont. She is preceded in death by her children, Robin Devilbiss, Tammy Stull and James Devilbiss and her sister Joyce Stonesifer and brother Sam Eaton.Friends will be received on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10 AM. Rev. Albert K. Lane III will officiate. The interment will follow in the Mount Prospect Church Cemetery, Lewistown. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Devilbiss' name to the Lewistown United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 11032 Hessong Bridge Rd., Thurmont, MD 21788.
