Betty Lorraine Hawker

Mrs. Betty Lorraine Hawker, 86, of Frederick, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at the Ballenger Creek Center. She was the wife of the late John Henry " Hobbie" Hawker. Born on September 11, 1930, in Thurmont, she was a daughter of the late Cyrus and Thelma Rebecca Weddle Favorite.
She had worked for many years at Price Electric, Microbiological and retired from the Westinghouse Company. She was a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Bonnie S. Hawker, of Charlestown, West Virginia and Diane L. Hawker, of Frederick, three brothers, Morris Favorite, of Hampstead,
Donald Favorite, of Taneytown and Robert Favorite and wife Dorothy, of Lewistown, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Favorite and sister-in-law, Dena Barnes.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, February 13, 2017, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Methodist Cemetery, Jefferson.
