Mrs. Ann Louise Curtin Haskins, 86, of Frederick and Hyattsville, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Sacred Heart Home, in Hyattsville. She was the wife of the late John Joseph Haskins, who died November 18, 2005. Born in the Bronx, New York on December 8, 1930, she was a daughter of the late James and Rachel Elizabeth Kelly Curtin.
She was a homemaker most of her life, who loved to cook, and whose greatest love was for her family. She was a devout Catholic, deeply prayerful, who frequently had priests, religious, and the homeless as guests in her home. She also played a fierce game of ping pong.
Surviving her are her children, Jack Haskins and wife Mary Anne, of Long Island, New York, Kelly Haskins and wife Sarah, of Bedford, Virginia and Claire Grabowski and husband John, of Urbana, Maryland, 13 grandchildren, three great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, William Haskins and her sister, Mary Elizabeth Canata.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Friday, May 19, 2017 at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 4103 Prices Distillery Road, Ijamsville, MD 21754. The family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to services. Father Thomas Petri, O.P. and Father Michael Jendrek, will con- celebrate the mass. Private interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery. Frederick. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick, MD.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Home, 5805 Queens Chapel Rd,, Hyattsville, MD 20782.
