Jane Elizabeth Myers

Ms. Jane Elizabeth Myers, 61, of Ijamsville, passed on to heaven Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Born March 7, 1956, in Ijamsville. She was the daughter of the late Nelson W. Myers Jr. and Sophia E. Myers.

For thirty plus years, Jane was an employee of Safeway, primarily in Mt. Airy. Before that she was an employee of JC Penney’s in Frederick from many years. She graduated from Linganore High School in 1974. Jane was a life-long member of Ijamsville United Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, church friends and her dog, Babe.

Surviving are her two brothers, Nelson W. Myers III and wife, Violet, and Larry W. Myers and wife, Carol, all of Ijamsville; her great-aunt, Patricia German; six nieces and nephews, Danielle Fink and husband, Douglas, Brianne Shankle and husband, Gary, Jaclyn Wood and husband, David, Kimberly Reece and husband, Mike, Rose Clipp and husband, David, and Nelson (Peanut) W. Myers IV and wife, Angela; nine great-nieces and nephews, Colin Shankle, Kylie Shankle, Eliza Fink, Colton Wood, Evie Wood, Neil Reece, Kacy Reece, Dillon Clipp and Dustin Clipp.

Viewing for family and friends will be from 3 to 7pm, on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, May 26, 2017, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Ijamsville United Methodist Church Schoolhouse.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Fink, Gary Shankle, David Wood, Larry Fritz, Richard Delauter, and Nevin Mossburg.
