Pauline Grace Berrigan passed away peacefully at Frederick Memorial Hospital on May 26, 2017 at an age of 95.

Pauline was born on February 9, 1922 in Culver, Indiana to late Edwin and Grace Poland of Culver. Upon Pauline's graduation from the Indiana School for the Deaf, she was employed at the State House in Indianapolis as a keypuncher for five years. Upon her marriage to late Edmund Berrigan on October 11, 1947, they moved to Baldwinsville, NY and made home there for 43 years. Pauline was a house maker for 18 years before being employed at B.G. Sulzle, Inc. in Syracuse and retired in 1968.

In 1990, the couple relocated to Frederick, Maryland and resided at the Crestwood Village for 24 years. Pauline enjoyed gardening, planting flowers gardens, reading, traveling and participating in Frederick Deaf Senior Citizens' activities. Besides, she enjoyed watching her grandchildren's scholar-athlete activities at Maryland School for the Deaf. She was a member of the Communication Services of the Deaf and the National Association of the Deaf.

Mrs. Berrigan was preceded in death by late husband, Edmund and three deceased sisters, Mildred Ault, Lucille Heiser and Loa Siple of Plymouth, Indiana. Surviving are Pauline's three nieces; Linda Heiser Cooper, Sharon Heiser Mevis, Andrea Siple Gilliland, a nephew; Dean Siple of Indiana, and her three sons; Dennis and wife Nancy of Boyds, MD, Patrick and wife, Audrey of Virginia Beach, VA, Terence and wife, Sheryl of Frederick, MD along with eight grandchildren, Tony, Kenneth, Jennifer, Krystle, Diana, Kevin, Danielle and Bridget and one great-granddaughter, Neve.

Friends may call at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick between 3-7pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. A rosary service will begin at 6:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Mark Seven Foundation, 144 Mohawk Hotel Road, Old Forge, NY 13420.
